Terms of reference

The terms of reference describe the purpose of Brent Youth Parliament (BYP) and the key objectives that members will focus on.

The terms are decided upon by the members each year.

 Terms of Reference for 2008 - 2009

  • To be the voice of young people in Brent.
  • To have a say in decisions that affect young people and to influence local policy.
  • To promote the work of BYP and celebrate the achievements of young people.
  • To support the work of UK Youth Parliament and influence national policy.
